
Sharqi Architecture, 1408 AD — UNESCO listed
Atala Masjid is one of the finest examples of Sharqi architecture in India. Built in 1408 AD by Sultan Ibrahim Shah Sharqi, it stands on the site of the Hindu temple of Atala Devi. The mosque is notable for its massive central pylon, intricate stone jalis, and soaring arches. It is listed among UNESCO's tentative World Heritage Sites.
